Yes, due to the similarities of mosquito and tick habitats, our mosquito treatments will work for ticks as well.
Treatments typically last 3 to 5 weeks depending on variables such as weather. You will find treatments most effective closest to the time of application.
We would prefer you are home for initial treatment to discuss the application and make sure our technicians have access to the entire area. After that, the treatment can be applied when you are not at home as long as we have access to the entire area and all pets are in the house.
We are concerned with the health of your family, pets, and other beneficial organisms around your yard and take every effort to keep our treatments in locations where mosquitoes, but little else (including beneficial pollinators), are affected.
You can use your yard the same day, once the treatment has dried.

Adult female mosquitoes feed on blood to obtain a nutritious meal for egg production. Adult females will take multiple meals during their lifetime and can vector several serious pathogenic organisms. They are responsible for transmitting diseases like West Nile, Zika, chikungunya, malaria, and many more. It’s important to remember that no single mosquito species can transmit all of these pathogens and that the pathogens must be present in the environment for mosquitoes to be able to spread them. One of the reasons that a Zika virus outbreak in our area isn’t anticipated is that the principal mosquito vectors of Zika are uncommon here. Click here to read "Should Michigan Residents be Concerned About the Zika Virus?", an excellent article by Dr. Kaufman, an entomologist and mosquito specialist at Michigan State University, explaining this concept to a Michigan-based audience.
