Bed bugs are small, flat, nocturnal insects that feed on human blood while their victims sleep. In recent years, bed bugs have enjoyed an alarming resurgence. They are a serious threat to businesses in which human populations are condensed, such as multifamily dwellings, and where inhabitants are transient, such as hotels. An infestation of bed bugs can cause lasting damage to your company's reputation if not eliminated swiftly and efficiently.
Because of their elusive nature, bed bugs are easily overlooked by unsuspecting property owners and managers. As bed bugs are extremely difficult to eradicate, our bed bug services include several options depending on the type and scope of the infestation.
Canine bed bug inspections are the most efficient way to detect a potential bed bug infestation. Our dogs are trained to detect live bed bugs and their eggs, which are the size of a grain of salt! We started our Canine Bed Bug division in 2011 with two teams, and today we have several teams serving 16 districts. Our handlers and dogs are trained and certified as a team. Each team is required to pass an annual test to maintain certification. We use the same training methods used by the military and law enforcement to train dogs to detect explosives and narcotics. Rose offers our canine bed bug inspection services throughout our coverage area including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and parts of Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Chemical applications: The primary method of treatment is chemical-free heat. We may include the use of a natural-chemical treatment called Diatomaceous Earth, which is a naturally occurring dust that kills bed bugs and other nuisance pests physically, not chemically.

Bed bug infestations most commonly occur where human populations are condensed and transient.
Bed bugs can be transported on luggage, clothing, and furniture, and can be found in a variety of places, including:
Although they are small, bed bugs can be seen and identified with the naked eye. They leave small, brownish, or reddish dots on bedding, mattresses, and furniture from droppings and blood spots from feeding. Heavy infestations may result in an odor described as "buggy" or sweet. Bed bug bites usually produce mild or no reaction in most people, but may leave behind red, itchy welts. Bed bugs feed on bare skin exposed while sleeping (face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, etc.). While they prefer humans, bed bugs may also feed on cats, dogs, birds, or other warm-blooded pests.
Early detection is key to treating any bed bug infestation, as bed bugs can spread quickly and become expensive to eradicate if left unchecked.
At Rose Pest Solutions, we understand how expensive and stressful a bed bug infestation can be. That's why we offer commercial bed bug treatments in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and the entire Rose service area.
