Every spring when the temperatures rise in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana; overwintering pests, who have been hibernating in your walls, emerge. One of them is the Stink Bug. Cute name but an annoying pest.
What can you do about them? Mark "Shep" Sheperdigian, of Rose Pest Solutions, explains in this news story which ran on WDIV TV in Detroit, Michigan.
The last thing you want to do is step on them, as they can release the pungent odor they are named for.
The best thing to do is to suck them up into a vacuum cleaner and empty it outside immediately.
Most stink bugs creep into warm homes during winter and look for a way out once Spring arrives. To keep them from entering your house seal up cracks, windows, and doors where bugs enter in the fall.
