Mark Sheperdigian received the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Outstanding Alumni Award at the March 10 awards ceremony.
The CANR awards are given to those who have distinguished themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishments and possessing the highest standards of integrity and character.
Sheperdigian has worked in urban pest management since April 1983 after graduating from MSU in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in entomology. He has held several positions in the pest control industry, including service, sales, management, and technical support.
In January 1987, Sheperdigian joined Rose Pest Solutions, Troy, Mich., where he serves as vice president of technical services and is a certified pesticide applicator in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Sheperdigian is well acquainted with speaking at conferences and training and co-authored the PCT Guide to Commercial Pest Management. He was also a 2008 PCT Crown Leadership Award honoree.
Sheperdigian is a national leader in pest management through his engagement with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), he served as president of Pi Chi Omega, the national pest management professional fraternity, and numerous trade working groups and boards.
